Thanksgiving is a special time dedicated to reflecting on and sharing our gratitude, as well as spending time with family. This year at CHOC, we are committed to make this day memorable for our patients and their families, despite the restrictions created by COVID-19. For the third year in a row, Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que is joining us by generously donating 250 of their delicious meals to our patients, families and associates as a gesture of their appreciation and passion to giving back.
Despite the challenges that they are facing due to the pandemic, Lucille’s, a family run business, recognizes the importance of cherishing relationships and coming together. When asked where the motivation to support CHOC during these difficult times comes from, Joan Hansen, director of marketing at Lucille’s, explains:
“Caring for a sick child has to be one of the hardest things in the world, and no organization cares more than CHOC. We are proud to support such a wonderful organization made up of people who have the biggest hearts in the world.”
We are so thankful to Lucille’s continuous support. In times like this, the impact of a warm, delicious meal can make all the difference to brighten a patient’s day.
