The healing power of play for CHOC’s mental health patients
Thanks to the Children’s Hospital Play Grant program from The Toy Foundation and the Children’s Hospital Association, 600 patients received a coping kit when admitted to CHOC’s Cherese Mari Laulhere Mental Health Inpatient Center. With a journal, stuffed animal, model magic clay and other stress-reducing tools in these kits, our mental health patients can relieve their stress and enhance their overall feelings of well-being.
