CHOC Golf Classic

The numbers speak volumes about the success of our 11th annual CHOC Classic, presented by PMH Laboratory, Inc., which was held on April 3, 2023 at Pelican Hill Golf Club. Roughly 280 golfers and more than 85 sponsors, in-kind sponsors and donors helped raise more than $558,000 for the children and families that CHOC cares for.
CHOC Gala
We’re so grateful to all who supported the 2023 CHOC Gala, Reach for the Stars, on May 13, 2023 at City National Grove of Anaheim. With you as our corporate partners, we did just that: caught the stars’ sparkle and destiny, and achieved a new Gala record, raising more than $5 million to support the health and well-being of its children—a truly stellar outcome. We were especially thankful that Credit Unions for Kids, Orange County, was recognized as our CHOC Gala Champion Honoree for their unwavering generosity throughout the years.
The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation Oncology Patient Ball
Attending a high school prom is not always possible for adolescent and young adult cancer patients. Committed to preserving the magic of childhood, The J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott Foundation Oncology Patient Ball at CHOC, held on July 14, 2023, ensured that this important rite of passage was not missed. From in-kind donations of dresses, tuxedos and other services to hosting the event at Marriott International properties, our corporate partners helped create this unforgettable night of fun for our patients.
Barbie-pink day
A big thank you to Love Your Melon and Mattel, Inc., for providing an incredible Barbie experience for patients and families on July 21, 2023. From playing Barbie Bingo with our patients in our Seacrest Studios to all the fantastic toys and goodies, this was a day filled with sweet moments for everyone.
Minnie Walk
Hearts were full and smiles were shared by all who participated in our CHOC Minnie Walk on July 26, 2023, where our corporate partners came out in full force and brought more activities, toys and giveaways than ever for our kids and their families. A tremendous thank you to our friends at the Disneyland® Resort for bringing the magic and transforming the second floor of the hospital into a tropical island destination.
CHOC Walk in the Park, presented by Disneyland® Resort
Our CHOC Walk family stood strong against the storm and created a ray of hope amidst the raindrops at this year’s event at the Disneyland® Resort on August 20, 2023. Together, we raised $2.3 million to help children at CHOC on their journeys to wellness. Thank you to all who supported, especially this year’s top corporate team, SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union, which raised nearly $69,000.
Wellness on Wheels
Through compassionate, philanthropic leadership such as with our partners at the Rite Aid Foundation, Credit Unions for Kids and others, along with our Unidos Por CHOC Fundraiser, organized by CHOC’s Latino Advisory Council and hosted by Northgate González Market, our Wellness on Wheels program will help bring care directly to the neighborhoods where some of our most vulnerable, underserved children live.

A huge shout-out to our cause marketing partners including Kendra Scott, Panda Express®, Costco Wholesale Corporation and Bob’s Discount Furniture for their successful 2023 campaigns. Through our shared passion for children’s health and well-being, your support and generosity of your associates and guests are giving kids the medical expertise, care teams and treatment plans needed to change their health for the better.
