We are pleased to highlight the opening of four new centers at CHOC: Primary Care Clinic, Fetal Care Center, Outpatient Heart Center and the Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Suite. These openings highlight CHOC’s transformative era to help meet the regional health needs for today’s and tomorrow’s generations.
A Look Inside Primary Care Clinic’s New Location
In April, CHOC’s primary care clinic began seeing patients in its beautiful new location a few miles from CHOC in Orange. The new primary care clinic comes as CHOC begins to embark on its Enterprise Master Plan, a comprehensive initiative that will transform CHOC over the next decade into one of the nation’s leading pediatric healthcare systems with a special focus on the patient, family and staff experience.
The following video shows some scenes from the building’s recent ribbon cutting ceremony and offers an inside look at the new primary care center, as well as a sneak peek of the new home for rehabilitation services.
UCI Health and CHOC Open One of the First Fetal Care Centers in Southern California
A partnership between UCI Health and CHOC, the Fetal Care Center of Southern California began seeing its first patients this month: expectant parents experiencing the unexpected news of a high-risk pregnancy with a baby facing complex medical conditions. This unique collaboration, filling an unmet need in the region, brings together world-class experts in both maternal-fetal medicine and pediatrics so both parents and baby are cared for in one patient-centered location.
State-of-the-Art CHOC Outpatient Heart Center Now Open
A new state-of-the-art clinical space on CHOC’s main Orange campus brings together multidisciplinary pediatric cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery outpatient services under one roof. The new outpatient center is devoted to evaluating children as early as possible, engaging children with diagnoses, symptoms and behaviors that diminish their quality of life and life expectancy.
The First Pediatric Nuclear Medicine Facility in Orange County
CHOC is proud to open the only nuclear medicine program in Orange County that is dedicated exclusively to pediatrics. The 4,000-square-foot facility, located in CHOC Hospital’s Bill Holmes Tower, allows pediatric patients to undergo advanced diagnostic imaging with treatments and protocols specialized for children.
