CHOC Foundation 2019-2020
Philanthropic Annual Report
The kindness of our CHOC supporters allows us to continue providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients, even in the midst of a devastating pandemic. In this report, we are proud to share the incredible impact of philanthropy and the difference our donors have made over an exceptionally challenging year.
A MESSAGE FROM DOUG CORBIN
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT & CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
2020 has been a year like no other. No one could argue with that.
However, our community has shown, on multiple occasions, that we can persevere through tough times together—even through a year filled with great uncertainty, change and sadness.
While COVID-19 has presented many challenges, CHOC is no stranger to responding in times of crisis. We are here when families need us most–when our patients are at their most vulnerable. And our resilience and innovation are made possible by our CHOC donors. In the midst of this pandemic, philanthropy allows us to persist in giving kids the best chance of growing into healthy and happy adults.
As you will see in this report, past and present contributions have helped CHOC establish a robust infrastructure and provide vital resources to children and families in a time of distress. The collective efforts and acts of kindness of our donors have enabled us to implement solutions that minimize the negative impacts of this global health emergency.
This year, I am reminded of the power of community—that when we join each other on common ground, around a shared vision, we not only persevere, but we can progress towards a brighter future.
