As avid runners, the Jewells channeled their love for the sport into an annual family tradition named after their daughter who received care at CHOC for her type 1 diabetes—KatrinaKures. More than 15 years later, KatrinaKures surpassed $250,000 for diabetes research at CHOC.
Caleb was diagnosed with a rare disease, and over the past 13 years, he has experienced the CHOC difference. He now has hope and started his own fundraiser to give back to the hospital.
Jasmine Sabbagh is an Orange County eighth grader who is a self-taught artist and young philanthropist. She is using her art to fundraise for CHOC—a kid helping other kids in need.
On March 31, 2022, CHOC’s community of supporters came together—united—for the second annual Unidos Por CHOC event, a special celebration dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of Latino children in Orange County. Raising approximately $130,000, proceeds from the event will help support CHOC’s Wellness on Wheels program.

The Freeman Family is honoring their beloved late son, Kevin, by raising funds for research into medulloblastoma, the disease that he courageously fought. To date, $63,108 has been raised to support this important research and provide new promise for children and young adults with medulloblastoma.
