Donate Blood and Platelets
CHOC is in critical need of blood and platelet donations at this time. The CHOC Blood Bank has extended its hours into the weekend. Donors must feel healthy and be asymptomatic to donate blood or platelets.
Blood Bank Hours
Monday – 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Tuesday – 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday – 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday – 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Friday – 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday – 7 a.m. to noon (platelet appointments only)
Donate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
We are in need of the following:
- N95 masks
- Regular masks
- Cloth masks
- Protective gowns, shoe covers, head coverings
- Alcohol wipes/Clorox wipes
- Hand sanitizers
- Face shields
To ensure your PPE donation meets our criteria, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
At this time, we are accepting homemade masks made of clean, safe materials (cotton or canvas). See template here.

The CHOC team strives to make the hospital experience as normal as possible for patients through play and fun. These efforts are more important now than ever – and you can help by purchasing toys or supplies through our Amazon Wish List or by purchasing gift cards to Amazon, Michaels, Target or Walmart.
